This is a serious pose I like to use when facing my critics.

Hey guys, It seems that is has been reported (mostly by right-wing websites, thank god the mainstream media isn’t biased and is standing with me) that I purchase my carbon credits from my own company.

Well yes it is true, I do buy carbon credits from my own company. Some of you have pointed out that there is a serious conflict of interest here and that I really shouldn’t be claiming to help the earth by investing in my own company.

But here is my counterargument:

By buying carbon credits for my own company I know that I’m getting a really good deal. Who better can I trust than myself?
But the real conflict of interest here is that some people still want to drive SUVs without paying for carbon credits from a company like mine. That’s the real problem. I’m trying to save the earth and all the skeptics are just claiming that I’m mostly making money off the whole thing.

Well I am making money, but guess what? I was already wealthy before I became a global warming fighter. So now if I’m going to make money, I might as well do it and save the earth, right? Doesn’t that make sense?

It probably doesn’t matter too much in the end since I’m convinced that most of my critics are in fact secret agents working for the oil companies. It’s about time that they cared about something other than profits, like the earth. If they weren’t so concerned with making money that might actually be able to make a difference or at least set a good example for others to follow.

Al gore out.
